Registration, cancellation, liability, and data terms for participants.
These terms and conditions are prepared for La Madrugada Tango Marathon & Festival & Cup in Istanbul.
Registration is possible only through the official registration form. We do not accept registrations by e-mail and/or social media. If you encounter any problems, please send an e-mail to tangolamadrugada@gmail.com.
Confirmation to participate in the event is strictly personal and therefore cannot be transferred to another person, except as described in our Cancellation Policy. If for any reason you need to cancel your participation, refunds follow this schedule: 75% refund if cancelled until 1 June 2026, 50% refund if cancelled until 1 September 2026, and no refund after 1 September 2026. Places may instead be transferred to another participant until 15 September 2026. All banking costs related to any money transaction are the responsibility of the participant.
A participant must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.
The organizers may cancel the event at short notice in cases of force majeure, including but not limited to Acts of God (fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster), pandemic disease, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether or not war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, confiscation, terrorist activity, nationalization, government sanction, blockade, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout, or failure of electricity, internet, or telephone service. If the event is cancelled due to force majeure, no new date will be set for the same year; the next edition will take place the following year. In this case, entry fees and additional orders will not be refunded to the participant.
Participation is at the participant's own risk. The organizers are not liable for any damages suffered by a participant as a result of their participation.
The participant must have adequate insurance covering any damages they or a surviving family member may suffer as a result of death, injury, or illness caused by participation in the event.
The participant confirms that they are aware participation requires good physical and mental health, that they meet this requirement, and that they have prepared adequately for the event through training and other means. The organizers strongly advise participants to undergo a medical examination before taking part in the event.
The participant grants the organizers the right to publish photos, videos, and other recordings made during or around the event in which the participant appears. This is separate from our Media Policy, which governs recording by other participants and guests.
The organizers store personal data provided by the participant in a database. By registering for the event, the participant grants the organizers permission to use this data to send information related to the event, and, only if the participant has given consent on the registration form, to share it with third parties for the same purpose. By registering, the participant also grants the organizers permission to publish their name, for example in press coverage or online.
